Mock exams on the course platform

Within the course platform we have mock exams which are specific to exam boards, we mainly use Open Awards, as well as some general mock exams. These general mock exams are marked automatically.


1. The specific exam board mocks are at the bottom on the left hand side, you will find the question papers, mark schemes and model solutions.

2. To complete one of the general mock exams, click 'Practice Exams'

3. Then select one of the practice papers to have a go at, there are 3 to choose from.

4. Click on 'Mock Exam' to open up the exam

5. You can either choose to do it in practice mode or exam mode. Practice mode has no time limit, so you can take as long as you like answering the questions. Exam mode gives you two hours, mimicking the real exam.

6. Choose your mode then click 'Start Test Now'

7. Now you can work through the questions, if you're in exam mode your time will be displayed counting down.

8. Ensure you have answered all parts of the question and then click on 'Next Question'. Work through the whole exam.

9. Once you have completed the exam you will get a summary like this.

10. By scrolling down you can see which questions you got right or wrong.

12. You will then see the question you have selected along with the answer you gave and what the correct answer is. There is also written solutions and video solutions that show you how to answer the question.
