# What is the Structure of the Maths Qualification?
## Maths Level 2 Exam
**Maths Level 2 Exam**
The level 2 functional skills maths exams are 2 hours long in total and is split into two sections; a 30 minute non-calculator section and a 90 minute calculator section. Students can use their own non-scientific calculator, or there will be an on-screen calculator available.

**Maths Level 1 Exam**
The level 1 maths exam is conducted in the exact same format as the level 2, just with differences to the content of the exam. It is also split into a 30 minute non-calculator and a 90 minute calculator section.
