How to enable Multifactor Authentication
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a one-time verification code (sent to your email) when signing in.
MFA helps protect user accounts and sensitive information across your organisation.
How to set up MFA for your Organisation
1. Visit the settings tab within the provider platform.
2. Choose which User Types require MFA.
Organisation Manager's can decide which user groups will use MFA, select from the following user types:
- Organisation Managers
- Teachers
- Students
Note: Cannot be set up on username based students as MFA requires email access
These settings can be turned on or off for each user type.
3. Individual Users Set Up MFA on Their Accounts.
When MFA is available for a user’s account type, each individual user can choose to turn it on from their own account settings.
During setup, the user will receive a one-time verification code by email to complete activation.
